Core Approach
I view my role not as a traditional 'Sage on the Stage,' but as a Learning Experience Designer (LXD). Rooted in constructivism, I believe knowledge is co-constructed through experiential and social interactions. My goal is to craft immersive environments where students build meaningful understanding.
TPACK & SAMR Integration
I integrate pedagogy and technology concurrently, ensuring technology serves the learning goals purposefully rather than as an afterthought.
Gamification & Roleplay
Example: Reimagining the 'Teaching, Technology & Assessment' course as the 'Hogwarts School of Teaching Crafts and Technologies' to maintain engagement during the pandemic.
Cultural Humility
Adapting teaching approaches to the diverse cultural backgrounds of students ('who is in the room'), maintaining high expectations while providing multiple pathways to success.
Mentorship Protocol
I treat postgraduate supervision as intellectual mentorship, viewing doctoral candidates as 'junior colleagues' rather than students to be directed. This approach has led to 27 successful graduate completions (5 PhD, 22 Master's).
